Law Enforcement

Seminars, Courses & Training In Boston

Krav Maga Yashir Boston, offers a comprehensive LEO program, that not only teaches a complete armed and unarmed defensive tactics component, but couples this with an education into effective communication, when dealing with aggressive and non-aggressive individuals. Our unarmed hand-to-hand components dovetails with our Baton and OC/CS Spray training – both of which are based on reflexive and instinctual movement, and officers are taught how to use these methods both when on their own and as part of a team.

Krav Maga, whether it is using weapons/tools utilizes instinctive and instinctual responses to threats and attacks. Our Law Enforcement Program is no different. Our techniques and methods have been used under stress and duress in Israel, and can be relied upon to perform when most needed.

Our programs can be adapted and tailored to meet either an individual or department’s needs, and can cover any one or more of the following areas:

  • Tactical Baton – against armed and unarmed assailants
  • OC/CS Spray – introduction and explanation of different tactical sprays e.g. CS, CN & OC. Different delivery types (Cones/Foggers, Gels & Streams), effective deployment under stress and duress.
  • Unarmed Defensive Tactics – How to disarm a variety of weapons, from different positions, either as part of a threat or an attack, escape from common holds and constraints, and disengagement/break away strategies in order to access non-lethal and lethal tools.
  • Control & Restraint – including Pain/Compliance either as an individual or part of a group (this includes the use of an aggressor’s clothing, along with the safe searching of a suspect etc.
  • Cuffing Techniques/Methods – using different types of handcuffs, either as an individual or as part of a group, to restrain a suspect safely etc.
  • Threat Recognition & Assessment – study of the pre-violence indicators, that indicate/signal when a suspect is about to become violent.
  • De-escalation & Effective Communication – how to recognize situations where de-escalation would be effective and appropriate, and how to resolve conflicts either between an officer and a suspect, or between two or more aggressors etc.
  • Weapon Retention – how to retain a sidearm when under stress and duress, either when holstered or un-holstered etc.
  • If you are interested either as an individual, as part of a group, or as a department, please fill out the inquiry form below.
